On March 9, 2007, the National Development and Reform Commission entrusted BOT Investment Co., Ltd. to evaluate the feasibility & research report of the Huanheng(Liaojijie)-Dandong(Guchengzi) Road in the Liaoning province. Our corporation immediately established a project expert term, made preliminary preparations for the evaluation work and set down detailed work schedules. The evaluation and expert team led by Dai Riyong, the President chaired an investigation meeting in Beijing, ?followed by detailed communication and discussions with relevant project institutions about the questions. After the comprehensive evaluation on the feasibility & research report and the supplementary materials supplied by the project institutions, our corporation successfully completed the evaluation task on May 31, 2007, by submitting the document named “The Evaluation Report for the Feasibility and Research Report for the Huanheng(Liaojijie)-Dandong(Guchengzi) Road in the Liaoning ” to National Development and Reform Commission.
　The construction contents of the project include: the 197km main line, with the total length of the 121 bridges of 26.8 km, and that of the 79 super large and large ones of 24.9 km. The total length of the 42 tunnels is 39.68 km. There’re 13 inter-connection crossroads, and one toll-station, four service-stations, two management-stations in he main road. The construction period is three years. The estimated investment is 11.7-billion yuan, containing10.85-billion-yuan static investment.
　The construction of the project is necessary to perfect the national main line road and the expressway network of Northeast in China, to implement the expressway network plan in Liaoning Province, to perfect regional comprehensive transportation network system, and to adapt to regional traffic transportation development. The completion of the project will produce obvious social benefits such as, to implement the rising-up strategies in the northeast, to promote the rapid regional economical and social development in Dandong, to advance regional cooperation in travalling field and reinforce national defense & combat readiness.
