On June 6, 2006, National Development and Reform Commission entrusted BOT Investment Co., Ltd. to evaluate the feasibility research report of the Wuding-Kunming road in Yunnan. Our corporation immediately established a project expert term, made preliminary preparations for the evaluation work and set down detailed work schedules. Dai Riyong, the President led the evaluation and expert team to the project spot in Kunming, Yunnan Province to carry out investigation and held a research meeting, followed by detailed communication and discussions with relevant project institutions about the questions. After the comprehensive evaluation on the feasibility research report and the supplementary materials supplied by the project institutions, our corporation successfully completed the evaluation task on August 29, 2006, by submitting the document named “The Evaluation Report on the Feasibility Research Report of Wuding-Kunming Road in Yunnan” to National Development and Reform Commission.
　The construction contents of the project include: the 64.71-kilometer-long main line, 90 bridges of 22,558 meters long in total; 11 tunnels of 9,235 meters long in total; four toll gates along the line, one administration station, one tunnel administration station, and one comprehensive service area. The construction period is three years. The estimated investment is 4.8 billion yuan, containing 4.5-billion-yuan static investment.
　The construction of the project is necessary to perfect the national expressway network and the development channels in South China, to implement Yunnan road network development plan, to perfect regional comprehensive transportation network system, and to adapt to regional traffic transportation development. The completion of the project will produce obvious social benefits such as, to quicken the development in South China, to improve the economic development ability in Kunming, and to drive the rapid regional tourism development.
