On June 28, 2006, National Development and Reform Commission entrusted BOT Investment Co., Ltd. to evaluate the feasibility research report of the Beijing section of Beijing-Tianjin expressway. Our corporation immediately established a project expert term, made preliminary preparations for the evaluation work and set down detailed work schedules. Dai Riyong, the President led the evaluation and expert team to the project spot in Beijing to carry out investigation and held a research meeting, followed by detailed communication and discussions with relevant project institutions about the questions. After the comprehensive evaluation on the feasibility research report and the supplementary materials supplied by the project institutions, our corporation successfully completed the evaluation task on July 26, 2006, by submitting the document named “The Evaluation Report for the Feasibility Research Report of the Beijing Section of Beijing-Tianjin Expressway” to National Development and Reform Commission.
　The construction contents of the project include: the 34.11-kilometer-long line; 11 toll gates; one service area, one administration area, one maintenance area, one joint-check station and two U-shaped turning facilities. The construction period is 24 months. The estimated investment is 6.29 billion yuan, containing 6.07-billion-yuan static investment.
　The construction of the project is necessary to perfect the national arterial road network and Beijing-Tianjin expressway passage, to adapt to Beijing-Tianjin expressway transportation development, and to perfect the traffic conditions in order to successfully hold 2008 Olympic Games. The completion of the project will produce obvious social benefits such as, to promote the rapid development of Beijing-Tianjin around Bo Sea economic circle, to drive the urban economic development in Beijing, and to improve the transportation conditions of Tianjin port.
