Completed the Project Proposal Evaluation for the Road from Sichuan Yibin to Sichuan-Chongqing Border (July 2006)


¡¡On April 19, 2006, National Development and Reform Commission entrusted BOT Investment Co., Ltd. to evaluate the project proposal of the road from Sichuan Yibin to Sichuan-Chongqing border. Our corporation immediately established a project expert term, made preliminary preparations for the evaluation work and set down detailed work schedules. Dai Riyong, the President led the evaluation and expert team to the project spot in Luzhou, Sichuan Province to carry out investigation and held a research meeting, followed by detailed communication and discussions with relevant project institutions about the questions. After the comprehensive evaluation on the project proposal and the supplementary materials supplied by the project institutions, our corporation successfully completed the evaluation task on August 2, 2006, by submitting the document named ¡°The Evaluation Report for the Project Proposal of the Road from Sichuan Yibin to Sichuan-Chongqing Border¡± to National Development and Reform Commission.
¡¡The construction contents of the project include: the 156.82-kilometer-long line; four especially large bridges of 5,639 meters long in total, 111 large bridges of 27,670 meters long in total, 89 middle and small bridges of 5,635 meters long in total; two especially long tunnels of 14,395 meters long in total, three long tunnels of 12,720 meters long in total, three middle tunnels of 5,057 meters long in total; three services areas, and one toll gate for the main line. The construction period is four years. The estimated investment is 9.41 billion yuan, containing 8.63-billion-yuan static investment.
¡¡The construction of the project is necessary to perfect the national expressway network, to implement Sichuan comprehensive traffic system development plan, to perfect regional comprehensive transportation network system, and to adapt to regional traffic transportation development. The completion of the project will produce obvious social benefits such as, to quicken the development in South China, to promote the national energy bases development, to advance the social and economic development in Sichuan and Chongqing, and to strengthen the regional tourist cooperation.
