On February 28, 2011, the National Development and Reform Commission entrusted BOT Investment Co., Ltd. to evaluate the Feasibility Study Report of the Road between Weiyuan to Wudu in Gansu Province. Our corporation immediately established a project expert term, made preliminary preparations for the evaluation work and set down detailed work schedules. The evaluation and expert team led by Mr. Wei Baisong, the Vice President, held a research meeting in Longnan, followed by detailed communications and discussions with relevant project institutions about the questions. After the comprehensive evaluation on the Feasibility Study Report and the supplementary materials supplied by the project institutions, our corporation successfully completed the evaluation task on May 24，2011 by submitting the document named the Evaluation for the Feasibility Study Report of the Road between Weiyuan to Wudu in Gansu Province to the National Development and Reform Commission.
The construction scope of this project: the total length of the main road is 243.6km. It will take five years to complete. After the evaluation, the adjusted budget of this project is RMB 27.8 billion, of which the static investment is RMB 25.3 billion.
The construction of this project is essential to the perfection of the national expressway network, to the implementation of the transport development plan of Gansu Province road network, to the development of regional comprehensive conveyance network and to the adaptation of the development of the regional transportation. Upon the completion of this project, it will generate substantially social benefit of speeding up the pace in the development of the western region, lifting out of poverty and backwardness in the minority areas and promoting social harmony, accelerating the economy development reconstruction following the earthquake and developing regional tourism resources etc.
