On May 20, 2010, the National Development and Reform Commission entrusted BOT Investment Co., Ltd. to evaluate the Report of the Bridge Project linking Zhenjiang and Yangzhou. Our corporation immediately established a project expert term, made preliminary preparations for the evaluation work and set down detailed work schedules. The evaluation and expert team led by Mr. Dai Riyong, the President, held a research meeting in Yangzhou, followed by several other meetings, detailed communication and discussions with relevant project institutions about the questions. After the comprehensive evaluation on the Feasibility Study Report and the supplementary materials supplied by the project institutions, our corporation successfully completed the evaluation task on by submitting the document named The Post-evaluation Report of the Bridge Project Linking Zhenjiang City and Yangzhou City to the National Development and Reform Commission.
The construction scope of this project: the total length of the bridge is 4.86 km with its width of 32.5m with 6 lanes. The construction of the bridge started on Oct. 20, 2000 and was put into operation on April 30, 2005. The project was officially checked and accepted on Dec. 29, 2007 with the actual investment of RMB 4.12 billion.
This project plays a very important role in promoting China's coastal economic development strategy and implementing the China’s National Yangtze River Delta Regional Planning.
