?On November 27, 2008, the National Development and Reform Commission entrusted BOT Investment Co., Ltd. to evaluate the Project Application of The Road between Rongcheng to Wendeng in Shandong Province. Our corporation immediately established a project expert term, made preliminary preparations for the evaluation work and set down detailed work schedules.? The evaluation and expert team led by Mr. Wei Baisong, the Vice President, held a research meeting in Beijing, followed by detailed communication and discussions with relevant project institutions concerning the related issues. After the comprehensive evaluation on the Project Application and the supplementary materials supplied by the project institutions, our corporation successfully completed the evaluation task on April 13, 2009, by submitting the document named “The Evaluation for Project Application of The Road between Rongcheng to Wendeng in Shandong Province” to the National Development and Reform Commission.
The construction scope of this project: the total length of the main road is 39.7km with 18 bridges total length of 1688m. It will take three years to complete. After the evaluation, the adjusted budget of this project is RMB 1.96 billion, of which the static investment RMB 1.85 billion.
The construction of this project is essential to the perfection of national expressway network, to the implement of transport development plan of Shandong Province road network, to the development of regional comprehensive conveyance network and to the adaptation of the development of the regional transportation. ?Upon the completion of this project, it will generate substantially social benefit of accelerating city group social and economic development in Shandong Peninsula, promoting the upgrading of the island's economic structure and improving the regional small and medium-sized port capacity etc.
