Completed the Evaluation on the FSR of the Baoji to Niubei Expressway Project in Shanxi Province (Mar 9, 2006)


¡¡Dec. 19, 2005, by issuing document [2005] No. 2780, the National Development and Reform Commission entrusted BOT Investment Co., Ltd. to evaluate the Baoji to Niubei Expressway project in Shanxi Province.
¡¡Upon receiving the document, our corporation immediately organized a project expert term, made front preparation and set down specific working schedule. From Jan. 12, 2006 to Jan 16, Wei Baisong, the Vice President led the project team and expert team to the project site in Xi¡¯an of Shanxi province to make investigation, and then held a research meeting on the FSR, followed by detailed communication and discussion with relevant project institutions on existing questions. After comprehensive evaluation on the FSR and the supplementary materials, our corporation submitted BOT Transportation [2006] No. 004 ¡°Evaluation Report on the FSR of Baoji to Niubei Expressway project in Shanxi Province¡± to the NDRC on Mar. 9, 2006, and successfully completed this evaluation task.
¡¡The construction scale of this project is: the total length is 39.5 km; the total length of the 37 large and medium-sized bridges is 9070 m; the construction period is 3 years. The estimated investment of this project is 2.52 billion RMB, of which 2.324 billion is static investment.
¡¡The construction of the proposed project is necessary to the completion of the trunk lines of the state highway and expressway network, the implementation of the development planning of the expressway network in Shanxi province, the completion of the regional comprehensive transportation system, and the adaptation to the regional transportation development. The completion of this project would bring obvious social profit to the following aspects: fastening the West Development strategy, exerting the leading role of Zhongguancun regional economy, promotion of the fast development of tourism in Baoji, enhancement of the anti-terrorism national defensive combat readiness construction, etc.
