On Aug 5, 2008, the National Development and Reform Commission entrusted BOT Investment Co., Ltd. to evaluate the Project Proposal for The Road between Lasa to Gongga Airport in Tibet Municipality. Our corporation immediately established a project expert term, made preliminary preparations for the evaluation work and set down detailed work schedules.? The evaluation and expert team led by Mr.Wei Baisong, the vice President, held a research meeting in Lasa, followed by detailed communication and discussions with relevant project institutions concerning the related issues. After the comprehensive evaluation on the Project Proposal and the supplementary materials supplied by the project institutions, our corporation successfully completed the evaluation task on November 4, 2008, by submitting the document named “The Evaluation for the Project Proposal for The Road between Lasa to Gongga Airport in Tibet Municipality” to the National Development and Reform Commission.
The construction scope of this project: the total length of the main road is 37.9km. There’re 22 bridges with the total length of 3521m. ?After the evaluation, the adjusted budget of this project is RMB1.524 billion.
The construction of this project is essential to the implement of transport development plan of Tibet Municipality skeleton road network, to the development of regional comprehensive conveyance network and to the adaptation of the development of the regional transportation. ?Upon the completion of this project, it will generate substantially social benefit of accelerating the development of the strategy of developing of the western region, to boost the economic development of Lasa, to promote the ethnic groups correspondence and stability in border areas etc.
