?On July 7, 2008, the National Development and Reform Commission entrusted BOT Investment Co., Ltd. to evaluate the Project Application of The Road between Yueyang and Changde in Hunan Province. Our corporation immediately established a project expert term, made preliminary preparations for the evaluation work and set down detailed work schedules.? The evaluation and expert team led by Mr.Dai Riyong, the President, held a research meeting in Changsha, followed by detailed communication and discussions with relevant project institutions concerning the related issues. After the comprehensive evaluation on the Project Application and the supplementary materials supplied by the project institutions, our corporation successfully completed the evaluation task on September 8, 2008, by submitting the document named “The Evaluation for Project Application of The Road between Yueyang and Changde in Hunan Province” to the National Development and Reform Commission.
The construction scope of this project: the total length of the main road is 141.3km. There’re 88 bridges with the total length of 45419m. ?After the evaluation, the adjusted budget of this project is RMB10 billion, of which the static investment RMB9.3 billion.
The construction of this project is essential to the perfection of national expressway network, to the implement of transport development plan of Hunan Province skeleton road network, to the development of regional comprehensive conveyance network and to the adaptation of the development of the regional transportation. ?Upon the completion of this project, it will generate substantially social benefit of accelerating the development of the strategy of developing of the middle region, to boost the economic development of Circle-Dongting Lake region, to promote the regional travel resource exploitation, to enhance Dongting Lake region floods defense capability etc.
